RUNIT Announces 2025 USA West Coast Trial Tour Ahead of Major 2026 Live Show
RUNIT has officially announced its 2025 USA West Coast Trial Tour, marking a significant milestone in the league’s global expansion and its continued push into the American sports market.
The six-city tour will take place across November and December 2025, with events scheduled in Nevada, Utah, California, Washington, and Texas. Designed as open athlete trials, the tour will identify elite collision athletes who will earn the opportunity to compete on RUNIT’s next major international stage in early 2026.
A Strategic Expansion into the United States
The USA West Coast Trial Tour follows the success of RUNIT’s inaugural live shows — RUNIT 01 in Melbourne and RUNIT 02 in Dubai — both of which helped establish the league as a new force in global sports entertainment.
With its rapid international momentum, the United States represents a critical next step. The West Coast, in particular, was selected for its deep talent pool, strong contact-sports culture, and influence on global media and entertainment.
Each tour stop will serve as both a live sporting event and a talent identification platform, introducing American audiences to RUNIT’s unique collision format while building the foundation for future championship events.
2025 USA West Coast Trial Tour Schedule
All events will take place in 2025, with confirmed venues across six major markets:
Las Vegas, NV — November 18 - Las Vegas Sportspark
Salt Lake City, UT — November 21 - Zion Banks Stadium
Santa Monica, CA — November 23 - Perry’s Beach
Irvine, CA — November 26 - Championship Soccer Stadium
Seattle, WA — November 29 - Starfire Sports Stadium
Austin, TX — December 2 - Parmer Field
Each event will feature structured trial matchups, athlete evaluations, and live fan engagement, with standout performers advancing into RUNIT’s global athlete pool.
What Is RUNIT?
RUNIT is the world’s fastest-growing sport and the first competition of its kind — a purpose-built collision sport designed for both live impact and digital consumption.
The format features two athletes — an attacker and a defender — lining up on a 20-metre runway. Upon the announcers cue, both athletes sprint at full speed and collide, with the objective of dominating the contact and winning the exchange.
The concept draws from the Oklahoma Drill, widely used in American football, and traditional rugby tackling drills common throughout Australia and New Zealand. For decades, variations of the format were also played informally as childhood games across the region. RUNIT has now transformed this raw contest into a professional, regulated sport built for modern audiences.
Open Trials and Athlete Eligibility
The USA West Coast tour will operate as open trials, with American athletes invited to register and compete for selection.
To be eligible, applicants must:
Fall within the Heavyweight Division (253.5 lbs – 275.5 lbs)
Provide proof of a contact-sports background, such as rugby, rugby league, gridiron, or similar disciplines
Athletes will be assessed on speed, power, technique, and composure under pressure — the core attributes required to succeed at the highest level of RUNIT competition.
Prize Pool and Pathway to RUNIT 03
Across the six trial events, RUNIT will offer over USD $40,000 in total prize money, reinforcing the league’s commitment to rewarding elite performance.
Top athletes from the tour will earn selection into RUNIT 03, the league’s next major live show scheduled for early 2026. RUNIT 03 is expected to feature significantly larger prize money, elevated production, and expanded international attention.
Strategic Partnerships and Collaborations
RUNIT’s USA expansion is supported by Stake, the league’s major partner and global sportsbook.
Additionally, RUNIT has aligned with Tully Banta-Cain’s Beach Football League (BFL) for the Santa Monica stop, with both organisations hosting side-by-side events at Perry’s Beach. The collaboration reflects a shared vision for innovation in live sports and fan-driven experiences.
Building Toward the Next Chapter
The USA West Coast Trial Tour represents more than a talent search — it is a statement of intent. By establishing a physical presence across multiple American markets, RUNIT continues to position itself as a scalable, globally relevant sports property.
Further announcements, including post-tour performance metrics and insights, will be released following the conclusion of the USA tour.
